The Monkey Bar is a bar in Amherst which also contains (?) Bistro 63 restaurant.
The Monkey Bar has a DJ spinning Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The cover charge is $4. Inside there is a sizeable dance floor, but the dance room gets unbearablly hot - sweaty hot - due to the lack of ventilation. The music is hip-hop with a good amount of southern bounce.
The closing time is 1:30am (1:18am in reality), compared to 2:00 (1:52am in reality) in Northampton.
